After the demise of Two Ton Slug, Karen Hatherley, Paul Spry and John Morrissey formed Skye. Joined by John East and Mike Kendall, the band played the South West folk circuit and soon built a loyal fan base.

As well as playing traditional songs, the band began to compose their own, and this collection (the only surviving audio of the band) features four original songs which were used as a demo to present to recording companies in 1971.

A recording contract was offered to the band by E.M.I., but the band turned down the opportunity to turn professional and eventually disbanded in 1973.
